The Nose Pizza is the perfect little Italian pizza place in the small coastal town of Gqeberha in South Africa is a cozy, rustic, homey spot run by a warm and welcoming Italian family. The aroma of freshly baked pizza wafts through the air as you step onto their porch, and the sounds of Regae Music and the sizzling of ingredients in the kitchen set the scene. The menu is simple but authentic, featuring classic Neapolitan-style pizzas made with homemade dough, crushed tomatoes and the freshest mozzarella and toppings.
The menu also offers a selection of traditional Italian appetizers, like bruschetta and arancini, and a few homemade pasta dishes which you can find on there website. The family runs the place with pride and passion, and you can tell that they put love in every dish they serve. The ambiance is cozy, with warm colors and rustic decor, and the vibe is casual and friendly. The place is always busy, usually fully booked days in advance, but Eppie is always happy to make another pizza for someone who arrives at his kitchen, ask me, I know. Eppie is always happy to chat with you, and the place has a lively, bustling atmosphere.
A little bit about where the Nose came from
The Nose opened its doors during the August 2020 lockdown, when they had a lot of free time, and “dad”” decided to make pizzas more often. We started giving them as gifts to our family and friends and before we knew it, we had set up an Instagram and Facebook page to share our pizzas with even more people. And now, here we are, voted the best slice in town and still a small family-run home kitchen, excited to share our pizzas with everyone in PE!
