With the famous Car Park John, few places come close to being as cool as Richmond Hill Brewing Company.
Established in 2015 with a 50 liter nano system, they have grown and matured into a brewery that takes great pride in the sessionality and flavor of their brews.
Situated in a rustic court yard with a tented canopy and wood fired heaters, our Tap Room has as much atmospheres as our brews have character. If beer is not your thing, our bar boasts a vast array of selected craft gins, expertly garnished to your taste.
Our very own local surfing legend, John Scheepers, has been tearing up PE’s surf since the beginning of time itself. This amber ale has been brewed to celebrate him and all he has done for the surfing community. With the beer’s tropical aroma and rich caramel flavour, it would be a sin to deny yourself a pint while watching the sets roll in.
Style / Tasting Notes: American Amber Ale – Naartijie, litchi and passion fruit on the nose which comes from the tropical hops used, finishing with a dry and caramel flavour at the end. 4.1%

Something Good Roadhouse is a family-orientated restaurant and takeaway on Marine Drive, Summerstrand. The iconic roadhouse was revived from the 50s and is now a local favourite. Everyone is welcome – even the four-legged pets. We have regular live music, a deck with ocean views, an old school takeaway and a play area for the kiddies.

Beer and Burgers, any day of the week, what else could you ask for? In an unpretentious kind of way with hand picked craft beer, relaxed location, and honest to goodness food. Found at No. 1 Cooper Street in Richmond Hill, Beer Yard offers not just craft beer, but burgers, pizza and salads as well. Visitors describe it as the best beer and cider in town, with a great atmosphere to boot.The trendy spot is perfect for either pre-dinner drinks, or beer and dinner. There literally is a ‘back yard’ garden under a Bedouin tent where locals hang out in amongst paraffin lamps.
And the craft beer menu (including local brews Car Park John and Two Rand Man) is impressive. Handmade burgers and thin-crust pizzas are on the menu.

Gqeberha’s first craft brewery, having opened its doors in 2011, is now a local favourite for food, drink, Sunday lunch, live music and events. It’s a no brainer this summer.

Barneys is a restaurant and pub on the beach, yes RIGHT on the beach, in Summerstrand. Really good pizza and a very good vibe with excellent live music.
